Classic Motorcycle Decals — Reproduction Sets for the Vintage Kawasaki
Reproduction decals for classic Kawasaki motorcycles — H1, H2, S series, KH, and the trail and enduro range. Made in Norfolk, checked against original factory reference, printed on polymeric vinyl with a permanent adhesive.
What makes a Kawasaki decal right
There's a lot of detail to get right on a reproduction decal. Colour values shift between model years — what looks like a single “Kawasaki red” is actually three or four different reds across the H1, H2, S, and KH range. Typeface weights vary. Gloss levels matter under 2K lacquer. The vinyl needs to behave properly under heat, under handling, under a season of use.
We work from original factory reference for each set, and check it before it leaves the workshop. Sticking to Kawasaki, and to one generation of bikes, means we can spend the time on those details — model year by model year.
What we make
The range covers the classic Kawasaki two-stroke road bikes, the trail and enduro line, and the early singles. 1970s through to the 1990s.
- Triples (road) — H1 500, H2 750, S1 250, S2 350, S3 400, KH 250 / 400 / 500
- Trail and enduro — KE, KT, KX, KD, KDX, KMX
- F series — earlier two-stroke singles and trail bikes
- KS — street and commuter singles
Fifty-four sets in the catalogue, model-year specific, priced £55–68 per set. Every set is checked against the factory reference for that exact model and year before it leaves the workshop. UK and Europe shipping.

What does "reproduction accuracy" mean in practice?
A decal can look right at arm's length and be wrong under show scrutiny — typeface weight, colour value, the angle of a panel graphic. Reproduction accuracy, as we use the term, means checked against the original factory artwork for that model and year. We don't average across model years. A 1972 H1 500 had a different graphic than a 1974 H1 500. If the year matters to your restoration, it matters to us.
What's in a kit
A Kawasaki triples kit covers the tank pinstripes, the side-cover badges, the sponsor decals where the original carried them, and the small tank or tail logos the model called for. The exact piece count depends on the model and year — we list what's in each kit on the product page, with model-year notes where the spec changed.
If you only need one piece — a replacement tank decal after a tank repaint, say — some sets are available as singles. The full kit is the default. For unusual configurations, a one-off variant, or a set of pinstripes for a year we haven't listed yet, send us the model and year and we'll tell you what's possible.
How we make them
We print on gloss self-adhesive polymeric vinyl with a white permanent adhesive (low initial tack). The print machines are large-format Roland TRUEVIS print-and-cut, running solvent inks — waterproof, longevity proven.
Once the decal is on the tank, it should be clear-coated with a 2K product. That protects against petrol spills, sun, and the general handling that any well-used bike picks up over a season.
We include a free printed sample with every order so you can test your clear-coat before you commit it to the real decal. Always test first. Some clear-coats can react with the solvent ink — better to find out on the sample.
Applying them
We use the wet method on every set we apply ourselves — water spray with a couple of drops of washing-up liquid, a smoothing tool, and a hairdryer for the trickier curves. The wet method sounds counter-intuitive (you're getting the sticky side wet) but it does work. It lets you reposition the decal on the tank until you're happy with placement, then push the water out from the centre of the decal with the smoothing tool. Once the water's out, the adhesive grabs.
Take five if it goes wrong. Creases pull off and warm back to shape with a hairdryer. Bubbles get a slit at the edge with a sharp scalpel and press out from there — never pierce in the middle. If you're new to applying decals, start with the smaller pieces in the kit before you tackle the tank. Full step-by-step in the installation section.
Why we go deep on Kawasaki
We're an approved Kawasaki supplier. Sticking to Kawasaki classics means we can spend the time on year-by-year reference, original spec, and artwork re-drawn from printed source — not approximated digitally.
Working on a non-Kawasaki? Send us the model — we'll quote a made-to-order set, or point you at the right specialist if we can't.
What if the year isn't listed?
Send us the model and year. If we've made the set, we'll confirm it fits. If we haven't made that year yet, we'll tell you when it's likely to be added or quote a custom set against reference material. We don't list years we haven't verified — if it's on the site, we've checked it.
For custom sets or anything not listed: send us a message.
