About
We're Valerie and Andy at Orchard Classic Decals Ltd. Small workshop in Norfolk. We make reproduction decals for classic Kawasaki motorcycles — model-year specific, checked against factory reference, printed on gloss self-adhesive polymeric vinyl. We're an approved Kawasaki supplier.
Why Kawasaki, why the specialist focus
Year-specific reference work is what makes a decal right. The colour values for a 1972 H2 are not the same as 1974. The graphic weight on a KH400 is not the same as a KH250. Getting those details correct requires holding reference material set by set, model year by model year. That's the work.
Going deep on one marque is what makes it worth doing properly. We don't carry filler listings — if it's in the range, the reference exists and the set has been made to it. If it isn't, we'll say so.
Anything else on vinyl — ask. We can often quote made-to-order for models outside the catalogue, and for non-Kawasaki vinyl work. Drop us a line.
What we make
The catalogue covers 54 model-year-specific sets across the classic Kawasaki range.
- Triples (road) — H1 500, H2 750, S1 250, S2 350, S3 400, KH 250 / 400 / 500
- Trail and enduro — KE, KT, KX, KD, KDX, KMX
- F series — earlier singles and trail bikes
- KS — street and commuter singles
Sets are priced £55–68. We ship UK and Europe. If your model or year isn't listed, send us the details — we'll quote a made-to-order set against your reference, or let you know when that set gets added.
How they're made
We print on gloss self-adhesive polymeric vinyl with a white permanent adhesive — low initial tack, which gives you working time to reposition before it sets. The print machines are large-format Roland TRUEVIS, running solvent inks — waterproof, dimensionally stable once clear-coated.
Before any set goes to print, we check it against factory reference for that model and year. The reference comes first — original specification, not approximation.
Once the decal is on the tank, clear-coat with a 2K product. That seals it against petrol spills, UV, and the general handling a bike picks up over a season. Every order includes a free printed sample — use it to test your clear-coat before you commit to the real decal. Some products can react with solvent ink. Better to find that out on the sample.
What to expect
Questions go to us directly — not a customer service script. Andy checks the sets himself. When something leaves here, it's been through our hands.
If a model isn't in the range, we'll tell you honestly whether we can build it and on what timeline. If we can't get the specification right, we don't reproduce that set. That's not a policy — it's just how it works when you're working from reference rather than guessing.
